Join the Women In Architecture Committee for a guided architectural tour of La Sagrada Familia Head Start/Early Head Start, a historic structure in San Germán, Puerto Rico.
The tour will highlight the building’s multiple construction phases, material systems, and the ongoing rehabilitation effort begun in 2020; which balances current building codes and programmatic requirements with historic preservation standards. The guided tour will be led by Architect Mariela Bravo Pascual, President of the AIA Puerto Rico Chapter and Partner at Manuel Bermúdez Arquitecto csp, offering professional insight into adaptive reuse and preservation practice within Puerto Rico’s historic urban context.
Important: We will be visiting an ongoing construction site. All attendants must bring personal protective equipment (PPE) (vest, boots, and hard hat) and appropriate clothing to visit the project site.
